The National Youth Summits answer the call of our nation, addressing healthy living and STEM issues to create a training ground for bright and motivated students to join together and create action plans to solve the problems facing their communities. After participating in one of these intensive events, students will return to their community on a trajectory to become our nation's future
The National Youth Summit Series brings together some of the best and brightest students to focus on specific issues. The STEM and health-focused conferences held annually in Washington, DC are for high school students, grades 9 through 12. Each event provides an opportunity for a team of students (as few as two, and as many as eight), accompanied by an adult mentor/chaperone, to learn skills, participate in hands-on learning sessions and develop action plans to create real change in their community.
September 12, 2013, Chevy Chase, Maryland: National 4-H Council and National 4-H Youth Conference Center are excited to announce the fourth summit in the National Youth Summit Series, Agri-Science. The Summit will take place January 16 – 20, 2014 at National 4-H Youth Conference Center. High school students (grades 9 – 12) and their adult chaperones are invited to register today.
August 15, 2013, Chevy Chase, Maryland: Registration has launched for National Youth Summit on Robotics. The conference will attract high school students from across the country to participate in workshops and advance their skills and knowledge in robotics. High school students and adult chaperones will work as teams at the Summit, February 13 – 17, 2014.
July 12, 2013, Chevy Chase, Maryland: Registration is now open for the National Youth Summit on Healthy Living which will take place January 9 - 12, 2014 at National 4-H Youth Conference Center, near Washington, D.C. Youth and adult teams will work as teams to gain knowledge and skills in health, nutrition and fitness, conducting community assessments and discovering ways to promote healthier choices.
